Sharon. You were my adopted mom in so many ways then you know. You always brought a special touch to Friday night chats. You were there when I needed you. You always had that shoulder to lend on. That ear that always listened the I am here for you. I will never forget you. I will miss you and love you. You are my guiding light now. Keep shining bright for me. Please give bella and chip a hug and kiss for me.

To John, Chris, and Family,
Please accept our condolences on your loss. I did not meet Sharon personally, only saw her from a distance at a few pack 47 events, but her love of service and teaching continues to shine on through Chris being involved. Know this has made a huge positive impact on so many young people, and we are all appreciative for everything she has done, and will continue to do in the future in spirit. Rest In Peace Sharon.

Dear John and Family
I was fortunate to be counted among those with whom Sharon shared her joy for Cub Scouting. She was always helpful, friendly, courteous, kind and most especially cheerful. A Den Mother to us all and the heart and soul of our annual Cub Scout Leader Pow Wow. May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest…… Ray Joesten

Dear John and Farmily,
I got to know Sharon and then John through Scouting, namely the CS Pow Wow over ten years ago. Sharon was always working on something from the previous year's, current and then upcoming year's events. She was a sweeetheart to work with, always pleasant, always a pleasant smile! I am glad to have had the pleasure to know her and John over the years. God Bless and God's speed... Mike Clark

I have known Sharon and John Rakoczy since starting work for the Science Department at Greater Hartford Community College in 1981. They were both so kind and so helpful that the transition to a new job was easy. John and I were both members of the science faculty while Sharon took care of us all by setting up and maintaining the laboratories. Laboratory technician was Sharon’s official title but what she actually did went way beyond that. She was the oil which made our machine run. She was the one who smoothed the ruffled feathers of anyone who got up set. She knew who was supposed to be where and at what time. If you needed to find someone, she knew where they were or when they would be back. She kept the labs neat. At the end of every semester she would asked about the little experiments, interesting slides or other things I had collected. Her idea was that I had to have a definite plan for whatever it was or it had to go. Most of it ended up going. This lead me away from my pack rat tendencies while not ruffling my feathers, and kept the labs in good order.
Her cheerful, practical and helpful manner was a great addition to our work environment. The mood and the tone of whole place was set to a large degree by Sharon.
