Dorothy L. Marti, 79, of Manchester, beloved wife of Kenneth G. Marti died Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Newark, NJ, February 16, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Isabella Price and sister of the late John Price and the late Louisa (Price) Bataille. Dorothy was raised in the North Arlington, NJ area, married Ken in 1957, and settled in Manchester in 1961 where she raised their four children. She worked for the Aetna Life and Casualty Company for 17 years until her retirement in 1996. Dorothy was a member of the Red Hat Society at the Manchester Senior Center and attended Saint Mary's Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Louisa Marti of Manchester, David Marti and his wife Kathy Banas Marti of Suffield, Douglas Marti of Manchester, and Patricia Marti and her husband James Gray of Cambridge, MA; her grandchildren Katherine and Kristen Marti; and Emily, Isabella and Thomas Gray; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 10 am at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, Manchester followed by burial in East Cemetery, Manchester.
