Ruediger fondly remembers a pretty wicked game of Risk up at the lodge that ended in the wee hours of the morning... He discovered in Kendall a partner in crime, and a good hearted perseverance! We will miss you dearly Kendall!

I have lots of memories of fun times with the Walden Family, whether it was the Holidays in Connecticut or at “camp” in Maine; when you met any of them for the first time, you knew you met a friend for life. Kendall was great guy, sharing information on many subjects but one in particular I cannot forget is the story of the 1963 B52 crash site on Elephant Mountain. We toured the area and Kendall showed me how to write on a mushroom. To this day, I’ve found myself putting info on a mushroom and thinking about Kendall. I will never play a game of cribbage without thinking of him as I played many hours with Sue, Cam, Blake, Brad and “Uncle Kendall”. I send my deepest sympathy and condolences to the Walden Family: Cam, Sue, Blake, Brad, Alice and Judson. May your loving memories help to ease the pain of your loss. Rest in Peace, Kendall, until we all meet again!

So many good memories with Kendall going back many years. Even after high school when we did manage to run into each other there were always good times. A great guy from a wonderful family. Wish we could have had a few more beers together. Rest In Peace Kendall. You were a great friend.

I only new Kendall for about a year since I purchased a home in Greenville Maine near Wilson Pond. Kendall was the President of our associations. During my conversations with him concerning ways to possibly improve our area it became obvious to me just how much Kendall new what he was talking about, but more importantly, just how much he sincerely cared. I found Kendall to be a perfect gentleman, soft spoken yet decisive and caring. He always kept in contact with me even when he was in the hospital. I use to tell him, "Kendall things are going ok don't worry just please take care of yourself first." Regardless over time I'd still get a call or an email asking me how things are. He was a great President of our associations and a great man from my perspective. I am deeply saddened with his passing and my wife Joyce and I offer heartfelt condolences to his family. I will miss Kendall greatly. Rest in peace my friend. Joe Luvisi

I remember when I was younger, I really wanted this fancy cribbage board from one of the downtown shops. My parents couldnt afford it though, and to be honest, I barely knew how to play cribbage. Kendall saw this as an opportunity. For the next week he and Judson helped me improve my game and helped me build my own and very first cribbage board out of a log from the wood shed. After our project was complete, Kendall and Judson sat me down to play the first game on our new board... I'm pretty sure Kendall let me skunk him, and it's a week I'll always remember. I love you, Kendall.

Kendall was a kind and gentle man, a wonderful
Cousin who I loved. I have many regrets that I didn’t see him more. I have happy memories of Wilson Pond and learning cribbage - he was a magnanimous teacher and didn’t cream me as he easily could have. The entire Walden family is a wonderful giving and kind family and I am grateful we had time together. Kendall is now up in heaven with his dad and my dad trash talking them in cribbage matches and laughing that great laugh he had. Sending love to all - Julie Walden Howard

I have wonderful memories of Kendall all the way back to my childhood when I so looked forward to spending time with my cooler and funnier older cousins in Greenville. As a kid I looked up to Kendall as the worldly elder--someone who knew more about most everything. When he showed me how to play pong at his house--my first ever encounter with a video game--I think I thought at the time that he invented it. As I grew older, lived afar and visited Greenville more infrequently, I could always count on his big smiles and hugs when I stopped by for a visit, making me feel welcome and appreciated. I'll never forget how much he talked up my lasagne that one time he stopped in with Alice for dinner at the lodge, and part of me was a little kid again, thinking--well, if Kendall likes it, it has to be good! He was such a good person and his beaming love for his son Judson was clear for all to see. My heart goes out to him, Alice, Cameron, Sue, Blake, Brad and all others who were closest to him and feel his loss so painfully.
Love to all--Gretchen Ludwig (2nd cousin) & family

Such wonderful photos and so many fond memories, from when we were small children playing by the bonfire and swimming in the pond at the old camp on Wilson to later years when our children were doing the same. Late night (too late for some of us) games of Risk up at the lodge, fishing expeditions with our boys, catching very little, if anything, after a full day of trying, having a blast just the same. I will miss you, Kendall and Greenville will not be the same without you...
Rest In Peace, my dear cousin.
Alice, Cam, Sue Judson, Blake and Brad,
My heart goes out to all of you and I’m sending hugs and love your way, praying for support and healing for all of you as you walk through these days ahead.
With all my love,
Sally
