Mr.Audette was my teacher in 89'-90'. In that year a family had moved to the area where on hard times and didn't have alot of money. Christmas came and that family Just couldn't afford a Christmas. So Mr.Audette bought Christmas presents for the kids when he heard about it. That's who Mr.Audette was to me.

My siblings and I have pleasant memories of our time in Mr. A's class and recall his inspiring and charismatic teaching. We would like to express our condolences to his family. I was looking through our old photos recently and came across one with Karen from 1980 which I will share here. You are in our thoughts.

Our hearts are aching for the Audette family. Please accept our sincerest sympathy. Fred was one of our oldest and dearest friends. He was Best Man at our wedding and delivered such a touching toast at our 50th anniversary party that it brought tears to our eyes. He was, indeed, a very special person. When I began my teaching career, he wrote me an “epistle” - it still resides in my top bureau drawer. He offered advice, help and encouragement which I took to heart. Fred was a master of his art and clearly wanted other teachers, including his own students, to be the best they could be.
Kathy, Corey, Joe, Alexis, Sam, Ashley, grandchildren and siblings, please know you are in our prayers, and Fred will always be in our hearts.
Don and Debbie

Mr. Audette was my 8th grade teacher in the early 80's. He was definitely one of my favorite teachers!
I can still hear his voice and laugh. We had such a good time in his class. That was a long time ago but he certainly made an impression on me.
I am so sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family.

The Hainsey family Marty & Kerry and our children Ron & Katie all attended and graduated from Bolton Schools while Fred was teaching. We send our sincere condolence's to Fred's family. All Teachers are special but in the Town of Bolton they are like members of our families. From the first day Fred walked into our school with his great smile and positive outlook on life it wasn't long before he became one of the most liked teachers in the building. At that time he lived in the same area of town as I. After school and during the summer months he would always be driving by where I lived with his friends in his white Buick Grand Sport Convertible with the top down and his head held high. I mention this because in recent years I would see him doing the same thing in his Mustang Convertible as he drove around Bolton and into Vernon. Fred really enjoyed life and the many friends that he had. Bolton is a small town with one outstanding resource its Teachers and because of them our School System. Fred will be missed, thought of often, and as a Teacher he truly made a positive difference for two generations of students in my family and others.
Our thoughts are with you in this difficult time,
Marty, Kerry, Ron, & Katie

Me. Audette was my lifesaver in Jr and sr high school. He was the kindest, funniest and most special influential person throughout those turbulent years . I had undiagnosed depression and he instinctively knew I was a kid that needed direction. He always made time for me ..believed in me and helped me believe in myself .. we lost contact when I moved to Vermont but we reconnected through the magic of Facebook and it was like no time had passed.. I’m so grateful I made it to my late brother Scott’s class reunion a few years ago because I was able to spend precious time with my buddy .. I hope he knew just how special he was to me and through all his help and friendship I went on to become a psychiatric nurse of now 38 years .. I was incredibly lucky to have him and a few other special teachers in my life but absolutely honored to call this man my friend.. my heart breaks for his wife and family that he loved so much and loved to chat about..The world lost an incredible light but heaven claimed another angel.. Rest well Mr. Audette until we meet again.
