I had the pleasure of both meeting and living with John for a couple of years in late 90's. He opened his home (for a monthly fee of course) to me, as I was going through a divorce and needed a place to call home . We ended up (for no extra charge), becoming good friends. He also shared his wisdom and kindness with me for which I was and am truly grateful. It was a very difficult period in my life and John gave me the opportunity to heal and get on with my life. I am so grateful to have crossed paths with John in my journey through life. My deepest sympathy goes out to John's children and his family. John will also have a place in my memory as a kind, loving and wonderful person. They do not create them any better!

For the greater Crowley family: cousin John was always a "light". He smiled continuously and spread sunshine in his path. And, I did not realize that his middle name was Richard, (my dad's, his uncle's, Richard S. Crowley)...first name. And, the first name of my brother, Richard W. Crowley ! Small world ! John will be missed, big-time. Nancy Jo (Crowley) Baratti

I first met John in the fall of 1998 at our bereavement group at VNA, which is where he met Barbara Gorr. John was such a caring person and talked about Lily and his children that he loved so much. Over the next few years I watched the love he and Barbara shared, then married. And now they are together forever. He will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace dear friend.

My Uncle John was the coolest of the cool. Once, many years ago,he returned from a trip to the U.K. and brought back a double decker bus toy. To this day,I still want one.
You are missed my beloved Uncle.
Peace, man.
Your nephew,
Richard Crowley.
