Obituary of Alexia Hope Kitchen

Alexia Hope Kitchen passed away peacefully on June 18, 2020 at home with her beloved parents. Alexia was born December 24, 2003 in New Haven, CT, to Nathan Patrick & Jacqueline (Bain) Kitchen. Alexia was the absolute light of her parent’s life. Her laughter and beautiful smile brought immense joy to everyone who met her. Hearing her laughter was such a beautiful gift and will be missed greatly by her whole family and team.  Throughout her 16 years of many struggles, her strength and beautiful WILL always showed through. She was a TRUE warrior and beautiful in every way.

Along with her parents Nate and Jackie she is going to be lovingly remembered by her paternal grandparents Nathan S. and Pat Kitchen, maternal grandmother Yvonne Bain, aunts Heather Attardo and her fiance Todd Michels , Jessica Stack and her husband Robert, uncles Thayer Kitchen and his wife Lindsay Halle & David Attardo and his wife Leanne, cousins Buddy Stack, Estelle & Magnus Kitchen, and her wonderful Godmother Drendia Travers. Alexia was predeceased by her maternal grandfather Kenneth “Butch” Bain, Jr and her Godfather papa Ted Travers.

 Alexia had an amazing team of medical staff specifically ; the most wonderful pediatrician Dr. S, our wonderful physical therapist Sarah, our occupational therapist Deanne, many many ICU doctors and nurses and respiratory therapist (our beautiful Jo and uncle Bob), subspecialty Drs., Nursing agencies,  Etc. She truly had a team of amazing people to help her get to keep that smile going, and we are so very grateful for you all!

Alexia’s family will be receiving callers on Friday June 26^th from 5-8 pm at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester.  

PLEASE DON'T WEAR BLACK. We respectfully ask you to wear happy colors, and we truly believe we are celebrating the beautiful 16 years we got.
