Obituary of Mark Burnham

Mark L. Burnham, 68, of Vernon, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, June 11, 2020. Mark was born November 17, 1951 in Manchester. He was the son of the late Elmore Goodwin Burnham and Marion Birdsey (Keeney) Burnham. Mark was raised in South Windsor in the home his father built and grew up an avid fan of all sports. Mark spent his childhood playing basketball and running around the fields of Foster Farms. Mark worked for many years in the restaurant industry prior to his retirement. Mark always had an insatiable zest for life and a beautiful smile on his face. Although he has left his earthly body, his spirit will forever be present in our hearts. Mark is now at peace in heaven with his late son Michael Joseph Burnham. Mark is survived by 2 children, Lucas Burnham of Massachusetts and Nichole Burnham and her husband Kyle Clements of Vernon as well as their son due later this year. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Thursday June 11^th from 11-1 pm to the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St. Manchester. Burial services will follow in Wapping Cemetery, 35 Oakland Rd., South Windsor.
