Guy Marchisio, 93 of Manchester, husband of Frances L. (Martin) Marchisio passed away on Tuesday (August 23, 2005) at his home. Born in Sagamore, MA, he had lived in Manchester for almost fifty years. Prior to his retirement, Guy was the Chief of Children�s services for the Connecticut Board of Education and Services for the Blind where he was the catalyst who removed blind children form institutions and enabled them to have a public school education. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Linda Marchisio of South Windsor; his grandchildren Carrie and Sara; his sister Lillian Oliva of Sagamore, MA; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Aldo Marchisio and his sister Leticia Coppi. Funeral service will be held on Friday August 26, 2005 at 6 pm at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-6 pm.
