Anthony Joseph Salvatore, 86, of Manchester passed away peacefully on November 25, 2011. He was born to the late Vincent and Josephine Salvatore on November 21, 1925. After serving in the U.S. Navy as Quartermaster, Anthony graduated with honors from the University of Hartford. He retired from Hamilton Standard (Hamilton Sunstrand) after 35 years. During his youth, Anthony enjoyed running cross country and at one time was ranked 14th in the state. Anthony was a lifetime member of the Elks and American Legion. He was an avid fly fisherman, bowler and sports fan. During retirement he enjoyed video games, comedy and movies. Anthony is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary, and his daughter Donna Paty and her husband John. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jennifer Valva and her husband Christopher, and John Paty and his fiancée Abigail Vickers. Anthony was predeceased by 2 sisters and 1 brother. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held.
