Obituary of Margaret M. Moriarty

Margaret M. (Galvin) Moriarty, 93, the wife of the late Tim Moriarty died on Friday, January 24, 2020 in Springfield, MA. She was born in Ireland the daughter of John and Ellen|(O’Sullivan) Galvin and had lived in Manchester, CT before moving to her home in Ludlow, MA. Margaret formerly served as a Registered Nurse for over fifty years. She loved spending time with her children and grand children especially when they were together for a family dinner enjoying her mighty good corn beef dinner. She had a tremendous pride in her Irish heritage and loved Irish music. Margaret is survived by her daughters and their husbands Marilyn Moriarty and Colin Knox of Hopkinton, MA and Noreen and Tadhg O’Sullivan of Ludlow, MA; her grandchildren Justine Kiely and her husband Chris and their son Liam, Kevin Moriarty and his wife Emily, Mairead O’Sullivan, Fiona O’Sullivan and Moira O’Sullivan. She was also predeceased by her son Timothy Moriarty. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 27th at 10:30 at St. Bridget Church 80 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery.
