Obituary of Rick Burrill
Richard “Rick” Burrill, 67, of Manchester and formerly of Andover, husband of Carol (Stasiak) Burrill passed away Monday December 16, 2019 at Hartford Hospital. Born on May 8, 1952 in Bangor, ME to Bryan and Evelyn (Berry) Burrill, he worked as a machinist for Pratt & Whitney and Bolton Aerospace. Rick was a member of the Full Gospel Interdenominational Church and their outreach ministry and United Technology Machinist’s Union Local 700. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying boating, hunting and salt-water fishing. He also enjoyed playing pickle ball. He was so proud of his grandson for his service in the US Airforce. His granddaughter was always by his side and shared his passion for ice-cream. He was a collector of facts, loved history, loved researching the bible. Rick watched Jeopardy nightly and was the untelevised 4th contestant, He often challenged his wife, to play against him.
Besides his wife Carol, Rick is survived by his daughter Chrislyn Lewis and her husband Josh of South Windsor, his son Bryan Burrill and his wife Kellye of Houston, TX, his grandchildren Corey Lewis of West Hartford and Ava Lewis of South Windsor, his brother Douglas Burrill of Norwich and his sister Debrah Buxton and her husband Wayne of Vernon. He was predeceased by his brothers Ken and Gary Burrill.
Family and friends may call on Sunday December 22nd from 5-6 p.m. at the Full Gospel Interdenominational Church, 745 Main Street, Manchester with a Memorial Service to be held at 6 p.m. The John F. Tierney Funeral Home Manchester has care of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
