Obituary of Sandra Ann Peowski

Sandra Ann Fisher Peowski, 82, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Sandy was born on April 28, 1937 in Laconia, New Hampshire to parents, Robert Fisher and Marion Hamilton. She spent many happy years as a child in New Hampshire with her Grandmother, “Nanny”. She leaves behind her loving children, whom she adored, Richard D. Peowski, Jr. of Willimantic, CT and Lisa P. Bard and her husband Troy, of Jupiter, FL.; her cherished grandchildren, Laura Horn and her husband Ben, Katelyn and Sara Peowski, Trevor and Alexa Bard; and her great-grandson Evan Horn. She also leaves behind her siblings, Penny and Joseph Romak, Sheryl Fitzgerald, John and Patricia Fitzgerald, along with her loving sister-in-law, Nancy Peowski, and brother and sister-in-law, William and Susan Peowski, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard D. Peowski, Sr. and their daughter, Laura Ann Peowski.

Sandy was a Teller Manager at CBT and Fleet Bank until her retirement. She was an avid reader and cat lover. All of those who were lucky enough to know Sandy were blessed with lots of laughter, precious memories, and unconditional love. Her positivity and strength were qualities that will carry on through us always. She will be missed more than words can express, and she will be loved forever. The family would like to thank everyone who has helped us through this immensely difficult time.

A memorial service will be held at the Second Congregational Church, 1746 Boston Turnpike, Coventry on November 7th at 11 am. directly followed by burial at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford, CT.
