Henry was the most treasured neighbor. Always loved our impromptu backyard conversations. Watching our dogs Foggy & Homer run the fence line. My girls always had to go out to see Henry.,His mom when she was there & then “the misses” as they called her You were so loved and we always felt joy being your neighbor. You will always be in our hearts

Henry volunteered for a number of years at the Catholic bilingual service in Hartford Correctional. His inspirational talks sharing life's struggles as well as joys, and especially his talks of boxing in his younger years helped many. Shouts of "Mr A." "Mr A." and an occasional "You taught me years ago!" greeted him. He was a very private and humble man. Few knew of his medal from the President of Italy for his humanitarian work helping Italians years ago. As Henry moves from this life to the next, my hope is he is greeted at the Heavenly gates with shouts of "Mr A." "Mr A." "Do you remember me...?" from the many people he helped along the way.

I met Henry when he worked for the Connecticut Commission on Special Revenue; we were both Field Representatives for the agency.
Henry always captured the essence of the teachable moment in imparting his wisdom to others. He was highly perceptive, and stood his ground against the behavior and actions of others, especially the powerful, that were less than fair, reasonable, and honorable.
Henry was a principled Christian, and a gifted man with a great sense of humor, and old school values. I admired Henry; it was a privilege to have known him. -- Darryl Madey, Suffield CT

Mr. Agostinelli was my seventh grade History teacher at Wapping School in South Windsor 59 years ago. I was 11 years old, and my mother passed away two days before school started. Henry got me through that tough time and I always remembered that. I will never forget him.
