Obituary of Thomas B. Sipples

Thomas B. Sipples, 89, of Manchester, husband of the late Irene (Bagenski) Sipples died on Monday January 28, 2019 peacefully at his home. Born in Manchester, he was the son of Thomas and Catherine (Sheridan) Sipples. He was a U.S. Army veteran who proudly served in the Korean War. Prior to retirement, he worked at Moriarty Brothers in Manchester. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed golf and followed Notre Dame football, the Boston Red Sox, the Celtics and the New York Giants. He is survived by his children Thomas Sipples and his wife Jacqueline, Marjorie Winalski and her husband Michael, Jacqueline Sipples and significant other Francis Ruffalo and Colonel Michael Sipples; his grandchildren Thomas, Julia, Kimberly, Joseph, John, Zachary, Valerie, Michael and Benjamin; his great granddaughters Evelyn and Alexandra; his sister Jude Wrinn; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother Paul and his sister Maureen O’Loughlin.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday February 2, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center Street Manchester, CT followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Assumption 29 Adams Street South Manchester. Family & Friends may call Saturday at the funeral home from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl.
