Obituary of Carmela "Camille" Botticello Connors Birge

Carmela (Camille) Botticello Connors Birge passed away peacefully on January 5, 2019 at Manchester Manor.  She was born in Hartford, CT moving to Manchester at an early age.  A life long resident of Manchester, she graduated from Manchester High School in 1942.  Camille had various jobs during her long life.  Firstly working at Pioneer Parachute during World War II.  Camille retired from the Meadows Nursing Home as a Food Supervisor.  She was a devout Catholic always attending Sunday and Holy Day Masses at the Church of the Assumption.  Camille found joy in caring for others, helping her father, mother and a favorite nephew during their convalescence, along with her tenure at The Meadows.

Camille is survived by her son Richard Connors and her daughter-in-law Beverly of Coventry, CT, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she was very fond of.  Camille is also survived by many treasured friends.  Besides her parents and husband, Camille is predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Thomas and Ethal Botticello of Lebanon, Paul Botticello of South Windsor, Joseph and Bertha Botticello, Anthony and Constance Botticello, and Edith Botticello all of Manchester.  Special thanks to the private care givers Jan Collard and Phoebe Ahearn and neighbors Aida and Juan and family who were a great help during mom’s last few years.  I would also like to thank the Manchester Manor care facility for their exceptional care, especially her nurse Diane and assistant Shelly for keeping mom as comfortable as possible during her final days.
