Obituary of Helen Maneggia Harrington

Helen Maneggia Harrington, 90, was called home on December 28, 2018 after a lengthy bout with cancer. She was a longtime resident of Bolton and a graduate of Manchester High School. Helen worked for Travelers Insurance Company for over twenty-five years, in Hartford and in the Tampa, Florida office. Upon her retirement she also worked part-time at Lord and Taylor and Dress Barn. Helen was predeceased by husbands Domenic Ponticelli and Robert Harrington. She is survived by her children Philip Ponticelli and wife Lisa, Cynthia Giles and husband Les, Paul Ponticelli and Judy Watt. She also leaves her four grandchildren, Geoffrey, Sara and her fiancé, Ryan Burke, Nikki and Taylor Ponticelli and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Helen loved reading, playing the piano and spending time at the Bolton Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed travelling and visited her daughter and son-in-law in Florida frequently, but she derived her greatest joy by spending time with her grandchildren. She would read, play games and take walks on the rail trails with them. She also enjoyed attending their musical concerts, sporting events and various school activities.

The family would like to thank Ewa Jagiello for her extraordinary efforts in taking care of our mother during the last three years of her life. The family would also like to thank the staff at Salmon Brook Center and Masonicare Hospice for their care, support and kindness they showed our Mother.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 30^th, at 5:00 p.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St. Manchester.
