Obituary of Clare M. Buzzell
Clare M. Buzzell, 68, the beloved wife of Robert Buzzell passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at her home. Born in Manhattan, NY she was the daughter of the late James and Florence Leniston. Clare lived in Manhattan until moving to Boston and North Adams before settling in Manchester, CT. She was a graduate of St. Vincent Ferrer High School, attended Chamberlain Jr. College and received her Bachelors from Albertus Magnus College. She had worked at Manchester Memorial Hospital for 37 years in the Health Information Management Department. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family – husband, children and especially her grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as “Nina” or “Magic.” She loved going to the ocean, collecting seashells, watching her grandkids play soccer, cheering for the UConn Huskies, working in her gardens and vacationing at Cape Cod. In addition to her husband, Clare is survived by her children Shane Buzzell and his wife Tiffany of Manchester, Ryan Buzzell and his wife Amy of Glastonbury, Caitlin Van Tasel and her husband Tommy of Glastonbury; her grandchildren Taylor Buzzell, Taryn Buzzell, Connor Buzzell, Rilynn Van Tasel, Kellen Van Tasel, Avery Buzzell and Irelynn Van Tasel; her siblings, James Leniston, Gail LaBianca, Marie Jason, Florence Cano, Noreen Pryslopski, and Jeanne Marie Hubschmitt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 14th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dunstan’s Church 1345 Manchester Road, Glastonbury, followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Calling hours will be held at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to Connecticut Children's Medical Center’s new Infusion Center in memory of Clare Buzzell.
