Obituary of Nora Gerrity

Nora (Sullivan) Gerrity, 70, beloved wife of 51 years to George Gerrity died Friday (January 21, 2005) at her home. Born in Kerry, Ireland, the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Reardon) Sullivan, she had lived in Manchester for twenty-six years. Nora was a communicant of St. Bridget Church, and an avid Red Sox and UCONN Women�s Basketball fan. Besides her husband she is survived by her sons Joseph Gerrity and his wife Sue of Massachusetts, and Kenneth Gerrity of St. Louis, Missouri and her grandchildren Amanda and Jack of Massachusetts. She is also survived by her brother�s and their spouses, Patrick Sullivan and his wife Mary of Windsor, Tim Sullivan and his wife Patricia of Avon and Dermot Sullivan and his wife Kathleen of West Hartford and her sister Mary Bridget Lynch of Ireland and many nieces and nephews in the USA, England and Ireland. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Jack, Tom, Dennis, and Michael Brenden Sullivan and her sister Joan Kearney. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday (January 26, 2005) at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center Street Manchester, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Bridget Church, Main St. Manchester, followed by burial in St. James Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 pm and Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
