Obituary of Gerald L. King
Gerald L. King Jr. -"Gerry", 61, of Hartford, CT passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2018 in his home in Manchester, CT.
Gerry was born in Hartford, CT to Cecile A Dunn King and Gerald King Sr. on October 21, 1958. Gerry attended A.I. Prince Tech High School in Hartford, CT. He spent many years working at Aetna, JCPenney, The Salvation Army and was self employed doing home improvement. Gerry enjoyed listening to music, playing with his cats-Mama and Noodles and his dog-Buddy.
Gerry is survived by his four daughters: Melina Y King, Veronica E King, Jessica M King, Prisella M King, his daughters’ mother: Zulma DeJesus Goddaughters: Tina Rodriguez Page and Sasha-Rae Martin. Ten grandchildren: Jaewon Walton, Asia Closs, Janai Jones, Kai’Ron Spyke, Jayla Jones, Adriana Peralta, Oliver Peralta Jr., Kamil Burns, A’Mya McGhee, Kamden Middleton. Three sisters: Marie King Rodriguez, Elizabeth King Mastache, Darlene King. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Gerry is preceded in death by his father Gerald King Sr., mother Cecile A Dunn King a nephew Luis Rodriguez and great nephew Darien Miguel Sanchez.
The John F. Tierney Funeral Home in Manchester, has care of the arrangements.
