Obituary of Joseph Emeril Doucette

Joseph Emeril Doucette beloved husband of 71 years to Therese Martin Doucette died peacefully at Manchester Manor on Wednesday December 5, 2018.  Born January 20, 1929 in Grand-Isle, Maine, the son of the late Fred and Flavie Doucette, he had been a Manchester resident since 1961.  Joseph Emeril was a chef for the dining room at Pratt & Whitney for 40 years, retiring in 1991.  He was also a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the Campbell Council of the Knights of Columbus. Joseph enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, the casino, trout fishing in Quebec, Canada and playing pool with his many friends at the Senior Center. He was a communicant at the Church of Assumption for 57 years

Besides his wife Therese, he leaves a sister Joan Levesque and her husband Rosaire of Bristol, a special niece Linda Rossignol of Vernon and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by four brothers; Louis, Nil, Omer and Adrian as well as four sisters; Beatrice, Irma, Albertine and Rena.

The family would like to thank the staff at Manchester Manor for the good care they gave Joseph.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Assumption 29 Adams Street South Manchester on Monday December 10 at 10 a.m. followed by burial with Military Honors in St. James Cemetery 360 Broad St. Manchester. Family and Friends may call at the John F.
