Patricia Wollenberg

Obituary of Patricia D. Wollenberg

Patricia D. Wollenberg, 94, of Manchester, died Monday October 29, 2018 at Atria Senior Living in Glastonbury.  Born in Unionville, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Revak) Dublac.  She was one of 11 children and was fond of saying she was the last “bird on the wire” after all of her siblings had passed.  Pat served her country as a U.S. Coast Guard SPAR in WWII and left the service to raise her family with her husband Christopher H. Wollenberg, Jr.  She raised her 8 children in Manchester and made her living as a hairdresser at her home salon, Patricia's Salon of Beauty. Pat loved spending time with family, especially the babies.  She loved to work in her gardens and cook; making her famous Christmas cookies, pies and relish for friends and family far and wide.  It was how she showed love.  She was a devoted mother - always there to lend a hand, pick up a paint brush or shovel and get the job done!

She is survived by her children Susan Hayes and companion Donald McLaughlin of Manchester, David Wollenberg of Hopkinton, RI, Petrina Kleinschmidt and husband Michael of Marlborough, Robin Wollenberg and wife Regina of Twisp, WA, Timothy Wollenberg and wife Brenda of Bolton, Kenneth Wollenberg and wife Yvette of Hopkinton, RI; her grandchildren Chris IV, Kevin, Matt, Mary (Katie), Lindsay, Kora, Andy, Liz, Brian, Sara, Tim, Justin, Jennifer, Dean, Nicky and Jason; and her great-grandchildren, Marion, Chris V, Owen, Maya, Grace, Ella, Taylor, Ben, Griffin, Olivia, Luke, Charlotte, Ben, Hannah, Jacob, Cat, Bodhi, Marek, Mason, Maddox, Zachary, Maddy , Autumn, Ryleigh, Jaxson, Harrison.  She is also survived by her daughters-in-law Faye Wollenberg and Sally Wollenberg.  She was predeceased by her sons Christopher Wollenberg III, Jonathan Wollenberg; and daughter-in-law Nancy Wollenberg.

Patricia’s family would like to offer a special note of thanks to the staff at The Atria/Brookdale and Masonic Care Hospice for their comfort and care.
