Obituary of Thomas Hugh Hodge

Thomas Hugh Hodge, 79 of Coconut Creek, Florida passed away October 12, 2018. He was born in South Glastonbury, Connecticut. He was a Computer Programmer with Northeast Utilities in Connecticut and a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University. Thomas served in the US Navy for 4 years. He retired from Northeast Utilities and moved to Florida in 1994. He was predeceased by his parents Robert Hodge and Helen Dickinson and his brother Kenneth Hodge. Survived by his wife of 34 years, Roberta, his children Robin Hodge (Rick Thompson) of Vernon, CT., Ronda Saunders (Geoffery) of Middletown, CT., Norman Shields (Mi-Kyong) of Goodyear, AZ, Carol Smith (Dale) of Colchester, CT. and Judith Sawtelle (David) of Vernon, CT, Grandchildren Allison, Alex, Austin, Victoria, Michael, Amanda, Christopher, Heather, Kelly and Dale, Jr., Great Grandchildren Arthur, Chevy, Scarlett, Stacylee, Matthew, Reagan and McKenna. He also leaves many friends at Dunkin Donuts in Margate, FL.  

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday November 11, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester, CT followed by burial at Still Hill Cemetery Main St. South Glastonbury.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday before the service from noon – 1 p.m.  Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Florida Conference Florida Restores 450 Martin L.
