Obituary of Rita Grace Benito
Rita Benito, age 96 beloved wife of the late Robert Benito for 56 years and loving mother of 7 children, 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren passed into eternal rest on 10/13/2018. Rita worked at Travelers Insurance, Manchester City Hall and Board of Education. She is survived by her children and their spouses; Robert Benito & his wife Ruth, Kathleen Byer & her husband James, Colin Benito, Maureen Dougan & her husband Herb, Brian Benito & his wife Itria, Janet Lovell & her husband Joseph and her lovely sister-in-law Mildred Callahan. Rita was predeceased by her daughter Nancy Iderosa and her 3 brothers, Clifford, Robert and Richard Callahan.
Rita loved her family and friends and always wanted the best for all. She enjoyed camping all summer at Hammonasset State Park when her children were young. Later in retirement years she and her husband Bob loved to travel the USA in their RV or to fly overseas on wonderful vacations.
Rita always made people smile with her bubbly personality.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday October 17th at 10 AM at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester, CT. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday before the service from 9:00 – 10:00 AM.
