Obituary of Louis Albasi

Louis J. Albasi, 93, of Bolton, passed away October 1, 2018 in the comfort of his home after a brief illness. Louis was born June 9, 1925 in Bolton. He was the youngest child of John and Emalinda (Angersola) Albasi. He was predeceased in 2014 by his loving wife Barbara (Johnson) Albasi and his beloved daughter Amy (Albasi) Laforge.

Lou ran a very successful greenhouse business in Bolton for many years. He enjoyed time at the Rhode Island shore and fishing from his boat there. He enjoyed sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and the UCONN Huskies. Besides his family, Lou truly loved the farm that he and his sister and brother were born, lived and died on.

Louis is survived by his son-in-law David Laforge of Manchester, his nephews Carl Lorentzen and his wife Ruth, William Lorentzen and Steven Albasi and his wife Kathy, as well as several grandnieces and nephews all of Bolton. He is also survived by his nephews Jeffery Johnson and Bradley Johnson, both of Manchester.

Besides his wife, daughter and parents, he was predeceased by his sister Olga (Albasi) Lorentzen, brother Edwin Albasi, nephew Edwin Albasi, and brother-in-law George Johnson and sister-in-law Virginia Johnson.

A Funeral Service on Thursday October 4^th at 11:00 AM at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester, CT with burial to follow at Bolton Center Cemetery 33 Hebron Rd, Bolton, CT.
