Obituary of Dorothy M. Tourville

Dorothy M. Tourville, 79, of Tolland, beloved wife of the late Ronald L. Tourville, died Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by family.  Dorothy was born in Wheelock, VT graduated from Barton Academy, Barton, VT, and had lived in Tupper Lake, NY before settling in Tolland, CT.  She had retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford.  Ronald and Dorothy would have celebrated their 60^th anniversary this year.  Dorothy loved family more than anything including her grand dogs, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Jazz and Ella. She had a great love of animals, supporting various organizations for animal welfare.  Dorothy loved to read, listen to music, attend concerts (seeing Tom Jones in concert several times), going out to eat and of course spending time with her family.  She is survived by her daughter Renee Ferron, her husband Robert of Manchester and her granddaughter Emily; her sisters Barbara Staves of Tupper Lake, NY, and Barbara Ridlon of Quincy, MA; her cousin Annie Wescom and several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters. 

Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St. Manchester on Thursday September 27^th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm.
