Giacomo Conforto, 77, the beloved husband of Giuseppa (Saladino) Conforto died Wednesday (August 11, 2004) at Manchester Manor. Born in Sicily, the son of Michael and Anna (LaSala) Conforto, he had lived in East Hartford for 36 years. He was an avid gardener. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Lou Conforto and his wife Teresa, Anna Maggio and her husband Ignazio and Michael S. Conforto and his wife Maria; his grandchildren Simone, Alison, Monica, Antonino, Giacomo, and Giacomo F., and his sister Stella Conforto. He also leaves several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Michael. The family would like to offer a special note of thanks to the staff of Manchester Manor for their care and support. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a service at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Manchester 240 Hillstown Rd. Manchester; burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery.
