Obituary of Adeline S. Bennett

Adeline S. (Merlino) Bennett, 87, the beloved wife of the late George M. Bennett died on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Hartford the daughter of Charles and Nicolina (Vasques) Merlino and had been a long time resident of East Hartford. Adeline was honored as one of the top sales person at G. Fox & Co. in Hartford and also enjoyed traveling the country by train with her husband George, spending time at the beach and an occasional trip to the casino. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Allen M. and Debbie Bennett of Bluffton, SC, George M. and Julie Bennett of Grand Junction, CO., Richard C. and Nancie Bennett of Uncasville and Susan A. and Walter Cormier of Broad Brook. Adeline was also predeceased by her daughter Linda M. Bennett. Also, surviving are eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and her sister Betty Warmolts of East Hartford. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Thursday, April 5^th from 5:00 – 7:00. A memorial service and a time for sharing will begin at 7:00. Adeline’s family will have a private interment service at a later date.
