Obituary of Edwin I Songailo
Edwin Ignace Songailo, life long resident of Manchester and husband of the late Emma Songailo passed away at the age of 95. Born in Rockville, he was the son of the late Ignace and Anna Beben Songailo.
He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and was a self employed Mason Contractor.
He is survived by his sons James Songailo and wife Eileen, and Frederick Songailo of Manchester; his sister Teresa (Songailo) White of Vernon; his sister-in-law Eleanor Songailo of Vernon and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his wonderful caregiver Carol Stoner and his feline friend Emma.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his brothers Edward and Roman Songailo; his sisters, Celia Bateman and husband Walter, Helen Belanger Stein and husband, and Genevieve Sawicki and husband Joseph; and his brother-in-law Frank White.
