Obituary of Mary Ann Demko

Mary Ann Demko, 58, of Vernon, beloved wife of Mark Demko died Sunday, March 25, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends.  Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of Ann (Nahas) Nassiff of Manchester and the late Salem Nassiff.  Mary Ann was a self-employed massage therapist for twenty years.  Her love of life could be seen in her enthusiasm for travelling with family and friends, enjoying many experiences cruising and trips to Myrtle Beach, Peru, and Sedona to name a few.  She had an undying love and respect for nature and the land.  It extended to animals as well, especially her beloved dog, Moose Hawk Hound.  In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her children Beau Demko and his wife Colleen of Coventry, Bailey Kohn and her husband Brian of Manchester; and her grandchildren, with whom she shared a beautiful bond, Claire and Derek Demko.  She is also survived by her sisters Joan Nassiff and her husband Tim Duell of Manchester, Nancy Nassiff of Sarasota, FL, Terrie Dittmann of Manchester, Ellen Shea of Marco Island, FL, several nieces and nephews, the loving Demko Family, her neighborhood friends including the Bournes, and many other friends and relatives.  Mary Ann’s family would like to offer a special note of thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at Smilow Cancer Center (Yale), the Dana Farber Institute and St. Francis Hospital for the care throughout Mary Ann’s journey.  Family and friends may call at the John F.
