Obituary of Sharon T. Rockefeller

Sharon T. Rockefeller, 64, the wife of John Rockefeller, died unexpectedly on Tuesday (February 12, 2013) at her home. Sharon was born in Hartford the daughter of the late Edward Tryon and Carolyn (MacDonald) Tryon of Tolland. She was a graduate of Manchester High School and had lived in Manchester for most of her life.

Sharon formerly worked in the insurance industry, including the Phoenix Insurance Co. She especially enjoyed family gatherings, parties for any occasion, music and playing cards and bingo.

Sharon is also survived by her twin sister Gail Anderson and her husband Gene of Enfield and her sister Lynn Flibbert and her husband Lawrence of NH; her brothers Edward M. Tryon and his wife Sharon of Enfield and Daniel A. Tryon of West Hartford. Others survivors include her aunt Phyllis Vignone of Avon; her brother-in-law Joseph Rockefeller of Manchester, her sister-in-law Mildred Hollis of NH, six nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews and her dear friends Betty Charter and Joan Vallier.
