Obituary of Nancy A. Watt

Nancy Ann Watt, 54, of Manchester, beloved daughter of Marilyn (Hepworth) Watt and the late James F. Watt passed on Friday February 1, 2013 after more than 2 years of a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on May 5, 1958 but lived in Manchester from age 1. Nancy attended St. James School, Manchester High School, and graduated from Southern Connecticut State College. For 20 years she was employed by the State of Connecticut Development Authority and the CT Judicial System. She also worked at Fidelity Investment Services and COCC. Nancy was a devoted mother, a beautiful woman with a contagious laugh, a hard worker with a passion to learn, and had a great love for her family of pets. She enjoyed sports, playing both basketball and volleyball. Besides her mother, she leaves her son, Dustin Jason, her sisters Sally (Chris) Kelley, Judy Watt, and Marge (Daryl) Coach of Seaville, NJ and brothers James (Tracy) Watt and Jeffrey (Valerie) Watt, plus many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her father and sister Katherine. Her family will receive friends on Friday, February 8, 2013 from 4-8pm at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, Manchester. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center, 25 Retreat Ave, Hartford, CT 06102.
