Obituary of Stanley Choman
Stanley S. Choman, 91, of Manchester, the husband of the late Amelia E. (Gailis) Choman died Thursday, November 17, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Ellington, he was the son of Michael and Sophie (Palamur) Choman and was a lifelong resident of Manchester. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and had retired from Hamilton-Standard. Stanley was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, where he was past Grand Knight. He is survived by his children, Stanley Choman Jr. and his wife Jean of Manchester, Barbara A. Miner and her husband Lester of Manchester; his grandchildren Lynette Stratton and her husband Chris, Steven Choman and his wife Olivia, Deborah Cohen and her husband Daniel, Hope Choman, Michelle Prior and her husband John, and Aaron Miner and his wife Tanya. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Madeline, William, Caroline and Jacqueline Stratton, Marissa, Elena and Leah Cohen, Christopher, Matthew and Amy Prior, and Maxwell Miner. He was predeceased by his brother Anthony. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday (November 22nd) at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10 am at St. Bridget Church 80 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in St. Bridget Cemetery.
