Obituary of Adela Doucet
Adela Doucet, 98, the wife of the late Nil J. Doucet died on Monday February 4th at Manchester Manor. Born in Canada, the daughter of Paul D. and Marie M. (Ouellette) Martin, she had lived in Manchester for over 65 years. Adela was formerly employed by the G.Fox Co., the Brown Thompson Co., and Pioneer Parachute. She was a former member of the Church of the Assumption Ladies Guild and the Legion of Mary. She is survived by her brother-in-law Emeril Doucette and his wife Therese of Manchester and her sister-in-law Joan Levesque and her husband Rosaire of Bristol, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, especially her dear niece Julie Roche and her husband Gilles. Her family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Manchester Manor for the many years of wonderful care. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (2/7) at 10:30 from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, with a mass of Christian burial at 11am at the Church of the Assumption, Manchester, followed by burial in East Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30.
