Linda S. Palombizio, 64, formerly of Manchester, died Sunday (January 13, 2013) at Hartford Hospital surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of Edith (Price) Sapienza of Hendersonville, TN and the late Rosario "Sam" Sapienza. Linda had worked in Human Resources for CBT, FDIC and the TSA. She was an avid reader, had a tremendous sense of humor and enjoyed her trips to the casino. She is also survived by her sons, Lawrence Palombizio and his wife April of New Britain, and Anthony Palombizio and his wife Sarah of South Windsor; her grandchildren Ashley, Katherine and Rosario Palombizio, and Drew, Kyle and Jake Palombizio; her siblings, Stephen Sapienza and brother-in-law Maurice Fougere of Cromwell, and Teri Bolduc and Mark Kelly of Hendersonville, TN. She is also survived by her longtime friend and companion Billy Mooneyham, and longtime friends Linda and Tom Aldridge, Pam and Bill Hodge, and Nancy and Dick Casciano. Besides her father she was also predeceased by her brother David Sapienza. Funeral service will be held on Thursday (January 17th) at 9:45 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Bartholomew Church 45 Ludlow Road Manchester, followed by burial in St. James Cemetery.
