Obituary of Michael David Foster

Michael David Foster, 42, of Middletown, died peacefully in his sleep on Friday March 2, 2018 at his home.  He was the son of Michael G. and Diane (Erickson) Foster of Myrtle Beach, SC, grew up in Saco, Maine and moved to Connecticut 22 years ago.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved children Meghan, Michael, Brady, and Griffin Foster, all of Middletown; his sisters Dawn Joyner and her husband Stephen of Manchester, Missy Foster and her wife Lianne of Wales, MA; and Kim Kempton and her husband Chris of Sarasota, FL; his grandfather Richard Erickson; and his grandmother Rose Foster.  He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephew, Addison, Wyatt, Paxton, Paycen and Logan; his love Veronica and the mother of his children Jenn; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mikie was an amazing, dedicated, proud and selfless man who treasured his children and the time he had with them.  He was a remarkable father and everything about being with his kids made him so very happy.  He cherished times watching his children do their activities, spending evenings playing games and playing with their dog Tucker.  Those who knew Mikie, knew how much he enjoyed working in his garden, riding his motorcycle, doing projects, attending Wormtown Music Festival/concerts and camping with his friends.  He also loved going on excursions with his children (from New York City to dumpster diving); the New England Patriots and playing with his nieces and nephew; they brought him as much joy as he brought to them.   Mikie began his career with Big Y over 14 years ago and worked in a variety of stores around the region, making friends everywhere he worked.  His passion for his job and personal accountability to do the best he could every day was extraordinarily impressive.  Memories with this remarkable man will be treasured and shared at his celebration of life to be held at The Wood N Tap 3375 Berlin Turnpike Newington CT on Sunday March 18, 2018.
