Obituary of Lucien Corbin

Lucien L. Corbin, 92, the husband of sixty-eight years to Simone Gertrude (Cyr) Corbin, died on Friday in East Hartford. Lucien was born in Hartford the son of Abel and Ozithe' (Moreau) Corbin and had lived in East Hartford since 1962. He was a US Army Air Corp veteran of World War II having fought in the Battle of the Bulge and Normandy and received both the Silver and Bronze Star. He was formerly employed as a carpenter with Local 43 and with the CCC. Lucien was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, East Hartford and was an avid Red Sox, Patriots and UCONN basketball fan. He is also survived by his sister Sr. Abella Corbin of the Daughters of Wisdom, his brother Lionel Corbin of Bristol and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brothers Armand, Abroise, Patrick, Norman and Armand Corbin and his sisters Martha Briand, Loretta Parent, Aline Dumond and Rina Ouellette. Lucien's family would like to offer a special note of thanks to the staff at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center. "So long Mr. Brown." Funeral service will be held on Tuesday (9/20) at 9:15 from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 at St. Christopher, East Hartford with entombment at St. Mary Cemetery, East Hartford.
