John L. Walsh, 92, of Manchester, the husband of the late Sundina (Raimondo) Walsh died Wednesday (September 14, 2011) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He had retired in 1991 from Hamilton Standard after 50 dedicated years of service. John was an enthusiastic fan of UCONN Women's Basketball and also enjoyed the Boston Celtics. He always enjoyed the great times his family had at the Donovan family parties. He is survived by his daughters, Anne Walsh and Mary Walsh, his son Paul Walsh and his wife Paula, his granddaughter Olivia and many cousins in Ireland and Wales, and nieces and nephews here in the United States. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his sister Betty Donovan and her husband Robert. Funeral service will be held on Friday (September 16th) at 9:30 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. James Church 896 Main St. Manchester, followed by burial in St. James Cemetery, Manchester.
