Roger C. Krar, 77, of Manchester, the husband of Carol J. (Poole) Krar, died on Sunday (August 21, 2011) at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Hartford the son of the late Martin and Edna (Clark) Krar and had lived in Manchester since 1969. Roger was formerly employed by Kasden Fuel and Mercury Fuel. He had a great love for fishing, riding his motorcycles and was an avid Red Sox fan. Besides his wife he is survived by his son and daughters Deborah Borton and her husband Paul of Wakefield, MA, Roger Krar and his companion Geraldine Brown of East Hartford, Dawn Titus and her husband Robert of Stafford Springs and Deanna Krar of Manchester; his grandchildren Jessica Cote, Dustin Krar and Mark Krar and his step-grandchildren Ashley and Brittney Titus. Roger is also survived by his sister Joyce Cannon and her husband Leonard of Bristol and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Gene B. Krar. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday (9/13) at 11:00 at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with Pastor John Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Glastonbury. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 - 7:00.
