Bill and girls, I met Martie in 1965 when she was a student physical therapist. We became close friends over the years and I spent many wonderful and cherished moments over years with Martie and your family. We lost contact for many years but reconnected a year prior to her passing. I miss her every single day. Bill, I am so blessed to have your friendship and pray that all is well with you and your family. God's blessings always...

Bill and girls. . .There is a huge void in the 'world' that is Manchester and most certainly in your lives. Since learning of Martie's death I have not been able to stop thinking about the memories that mostly centered around Gerard Street. I do believe that my Mom (Mim Ferris) found Martie to be one of her most cherished friends. The laughter that would be heard when the women on Gerard St. got together for their Monday night gatherings, originally starting at your home, could be heard in the nice weather through the porch and into 32 Gerard Street!!! What fun. . .and Martie always seemed to be sharing new recipes and craft ideas. . .one for 'apple pie squares' I still have in my recipe box. One particular memory I will always have of Martie was the special May Baskets she would always hang on Mom and Dad's door on May 1st. The first time she did it was such a surprise but then each May 1st afterward was a special treat to see what she would put in the basket. Maybe the girls remember helping their mother 'spread the love'. The neighborhood backyard parties. . .the Christmas luminaria lightings. . .the 'junk' in the front yard that Dad would pick up and fix and return to you (whether you wanted it or not!!). What memories!! Please know that Bob and I are thinking of you with love as you journey this difficult path of grief. Blessings, Lynn and Bob Follett

Martie was someone who taught me that it is the 'time' you spend with someone and the 'attention' that you give them that means more then anything else. She touched my heart and my soul. Her light shines on. We miss you Martie, Rebecca & Julia! Paul, Nora and Ronnie.
Express your sympathies with a unique floral tribute
