Obituary of Robert Miner
Robert W. "Bobby" Miner, 30, of Warwick, RI and formerly Bolton, CT, the husband of Natalia (Ripp) Miner, died as the result of an automobile accident on Friday (July 22, 2011) in Scituate, RI. Bobby was born in Hartford, CT, had lived most of his life in Bolton, CT before moving to Warwick, RI.
Besides his wife Natalia, he is survived by his daughter, Olivia, his parents Robert E. and Margaret (Molde) Miner of Port St. Lucie, FL, his sister and brother-in-law Magee and Christopher Kloepfer of Bristol, VA and their sons Gavin and Eli, and his grandmother Elsie Miner of Bolton. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law Judy and John Ripp of Bolton, his brother-in-law John Ripp of Bolton, his grandparents-in-law Elizabeth Scruggs of Knoxville, TN, and Catherine and Joseph Cacchioli of Queens, NY and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was a graduate of Bolton High School, class of 2000, received his Bachelor's degree in 2004 from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and his Master's degree in 2006 also from WPI. He was currently employed by Hughes Associates as a Fire Protection Engineer. Bobby rode with Team Suzie Q in the Pan-Mass Challenge. He was an avid sportsman, especially enjoyed fishing with his father and hunting. He was also a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. While in college he played rugby and joined and is a member of the Zeta Psi fraternity. He was a former member of the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department. Bobby maintained his friendship with his many Bolton friends, especially the Pesce family Aldo and Liz, and Larry and Martha. Bobby worked on the Pesce Farm from the age of 10 and would always return to lend a hand when he was in Bolton. He also greatly enjoyed his time spent in Lake George, NY and Sebago Lake, ME with friends and family.
Calling hours will be held at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Monday (July 25th) from 3-7 pm. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at St. Bartholomew Church 45 Ludlow Rd. Manchester, at 11 am on Tuesday for a Mass of Christian Burial.
