Evelyn S. Reynolds, 84, of Manchester, formerly of Ellington, the wife of 58 years to Charles Nelson Reynolds died Thursday (July 21, 2011) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Braintree, MA she was the daughter of the late Timothy and Angelina Stack. Evelyn enjoyed playing bridge, crossword puzzles, reading, golfing and gardening. She was a communicant of 42 years at St. Luke's Church in Ellington and one year at St. James Church in Manchester. Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Patricia Nelson and her husband Jeff of Manchester, Therese Gauthier and her husband Greg of Smithfield, RI, and Terry Reynolds and his wife Lori of New Fairfield, CT, her grandchildren, Angelina Margaret and Timothy Charles Nelson, Patricia Carol Gauthier, and John Charles and Megan Elizabeth Reynolds, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Alice, Dorothy, William, Margaret, Virginia and Ted. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday (July 27th) at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial Celebrated at 10 am at St. James Church 896 Main Street Manchester.
