Richard X. Pillard, 77, of Vernon, formerly of Manchester the life long partner to Eleanor Krause of Manchester died Saturday (July 9, 2011) at Fox Hill Nursing Home in Vernon. Born in Manchester, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Violet (Peltier) Pillard. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. Besides his life partner, Eleanor, he is survived by his children Michael and his wife Cassie of Vernon, Mary Fazzino and her husband Angelo of Wallingford, and Lisa Avery and her husband David of South Carolina, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his son Robert Krause and his sister Barbara Banovich. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Thursday evening from 6-8. There will be a memorial service held at 7 pm on Thursday.
