Salvatore J. D'Amico, 77, of Broad Brook, beloved husband of 55 years to Shirley E. (Renaldo) died Thursday (December 6, 2012)at Hartford Hospital. Born in Worcester, MA he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Campaniello) D'Amico. Sal loved his work traveling the world as a Baking Engineer Consultant. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters and their spouses, Tammy and Robert Vece of South Windsor, and Audrey and Matthew Butler (owners of South Windsor's Batik Salon) of Broad Brook; his sisters Joann D'Amico of Massachusetts, and Patricia Bertone and her husband Richard of Franklin, MA; several nieces and nephews; and his granddog Tico Torres. Sal's family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff of Hartford Hospital especially Dr. G., Joe and Annette for the continued care, professionalism, skill and compassion.
