Robert John Heck born July 6, 1944 died May 30, 2011. Bob lost his struggle after a long illness and is now resting in peace, in pain no more. He will be fondly remembered as "Bubba", "Doc", the "Groanmaster" and "the Bird Man". His warmth, smile and jovial laugh will be sadly missed by all those who's lives he touched. He was generous to a fault, whenever he cooked his "gourmet" microwave meals he would share them with this neighbors and friends, the coffee pot was always brewing, even though he was on a limited income, he never complained. He would never say anything bad about anyone. He shared many a funny story from his bartender days in Vernon. He took care of his ailing mom until she passed. He was a published author and poet if you can find a copy of The Cross in the Road, Life's Journey (www.Xlibris.com), you will enjoy the read. His fine feathered friend "Bridget" scarred many a visitor, but Bob loved her so and was so pleased when she found a new home with people who loved her as he did. He leaves behind his nephew Edwin Heck from Delaware, his niece Robin Heck from Las Vegas and many cousins and friends. He was very grateful to Visiting Nurse and Health Care Services fo Ct-his aides Luis and Carol and his nurses Linda and Debbie and will be sadly missed by many friends.
