Obituary of Shirley Hull

Shirley Jane Hull (Morrison) beloved wife of John R. (Russ) Hull of Manchester, CT, went to her rest on April 19th at Hartford Hospital, in peace, and in the presence of her family. Shirley and Russ enjoyed 62 years of marriage; Shirley was born in Hartford, on October 26th 1929 to the late Thomas R. Morrison and Lillian Morrison. She spent her life living in East Hartford and Manchester. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Bridget's Church and a member of The Rosary Society. She was employed by Whiton Library in Manchester, and was active in The Manchester Senior Center. Shirley delighted in activities such as bowling, baking, crafts, line-dancing and golf. Mostly she cherished her family. Besides her husband Russ, Shirley leaves her dear children: Jack Hull and his wife Wendy Falck of Berlin; Nancy Guy and her husband Richard of Woodsville, NH; Michael Hull and his wife Pamela of Higganum; grandchildren: Christopher Guy and Ashley Hull-Guy, and Tyler and Brendon Hull. Shirley also leaves her sister Eleanor Freddo and her husband Joseph, of Bolton: her brother Richard Morrison and his wife Jane of East Windsor, and several nieces and nephews. She will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers, Shirley's family requests that donations be made in her name, to the International Dementia Research Foundation PO Box 12204 Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday (April 26th) at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial 10 am at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St., Manchester followed by burial in East Cemetery, Manchester.
