Meri Mercer Hamm, 63, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on December 7th. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced. Meri was born in Manchester, CT on August 30th 1954. She attended and graduated in 1972 from Manchester High School. Shortly thereafter, she married Peter Hamm. Meri was mother and step mother to 8 children to whom she devoted her life. Meri was a talented homemaker, family chef, singer, writer, trivia buff and listener. She exuded kindness and generosity and her children, grandchildren and friends will miss her terribly. Meri was active in the LDS church and her faith powered her through life's challenges. She lived a selfless life, providing care for her husband in later years who now she walks hand in hand. Meri was preceded in death by her husband Peter. She is survived by her sister Michelle Mercer of San Diego, California and brother Billy as well as her 8 children and step children: Philip, Melissa, Jennifer and Steve Heath, Peter, Abby and Steve Zajac, Mandy and Josh Eger, Terry, Melanie and Keith Ferry.
