Obituary of James Chartier

James V. Chartier, 52, passed away on September 13, 2009. He was born on May 17, 1957, in Hartford to his loving parents Raymond G. and Evelyn M. (McDonnell) Chartier. He was a graduate of Manchester High School and was a long term member in good standing with the Connectitcut Laborer's Union Local 230. He enjoyed his daily walks, was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and loved his dog Lucy and his cats, Chino and Zoey. His kind heart and generous soul will be greatly missed by everyone who has ever known him. He is predeceased by his father and mother Raymond and Evelyn Chartier. He is survived by his daughters Kalie Chartier, Jennie Chartier and her fiancé Brian Meere and his unborn grandson Nathan James and Kayla Chartier, his granddaughter, the love of his life. He is also survived by his sister Sandra Moore and her husband Robie, his sister Michele (Shelly) Heft and her husband Don, his brother Dennis and his wife Elaine, his brother John (Scott) Chartier and his wife Nella, and his good friend and mother of his daughters Tracy Chartier. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and his extended family and friends. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St., Manchester on Thursday (September 17th) from 4-7 pm with a funeral service to be held at 7 pm. Internment of cremains will be at 11:30 am Friday September 18th in East Cemetery, Manchester.
