Obituary of Charles S. Lahda

Charles S. Lahda, 54, died on November 28, 2017 at Kimberly Hall North in Windsor. Charles was born in Manchester, the son of John W. Lahda of Manchester and the late Margaret (O'Reilly) Lahda. Charles was involved with MARC Inc. of Manchester, and he was a Special Olympian. Charles is survived by his brother John W. Lahda III and his wife Anna of Rocky Hill, his nephew John Vincent Lahda of Wethersfield, his cousins Robert and David Sherman, Rose Cote and her husband Troy of New Hampshire, Patrick O'Reilly and wife Deiann of London, England, Maureen O'Reilly of Germany, and Blake O'Reilly, who was Charlie's one on one during the Special Olympics for many years, and his wife Lois Chapell of Manchester; his aunt April O'Reilly of East Windsor, his uncle Leonard and Sister Helen Dowd at the IEC in West Hartford who was a dear friend. Besides his caring mother, Charles was predeceased by his grandparents Salvatore and Margaret Lombardo, and his "favorite uncle" Charles O'Reilly. A funeral service will be held for Charles on Saturday December 2nd at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center Street, Manchester, at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00-10:00.
