Obituary of Sarah D. Hayes

Sarah "Sally" D'Amigo Hayes, 80, passed away Saturday September 2, 2012 at St. Mary Home in West Hartford. Born in West Hartford October 16, 1931, Sally had lived in Manchester and East Hartford.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Edward, Jr. and Nancy Madden Hayes and her beloved granddaughters Emily and Jennifer Hayes. Sally is also survived by her extended family the Botticello's and her close friends Al and Pat Obue, all of Manchester. Sally worked for many years at the former Silver Lane Pavilion Convalescent Home in East Hartford where she formed many lifelong friendships. Prior to her retirement, Sally was employed by the East Hartford VNA. Those who knew and loved her will always remember her as a kind, generous and caring individual.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday (September 8th) at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with at Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am at St. James Church 896 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm.
