Doris Blain, 96, beloved wife of Paul H. Blain, formerly of Manchester and N. Myrtle Beach, SC went to meet her maker on November 14, 2017 at Vernon Manor surrounded by her family. Doris was born in Berlin, New Hampshire, the daughter of the late Hilaire and Aurore (Falardeau) Aube. She married her childhood sweetheart and lived happily with him for 72 years. Doris was an extraordinaire registered nurse who excelled in her career. She worked as the director of nursing at Manchester Manor before retiring and moving to North Myrtle Beach with her husband, Paul. She raised her family in Manchester, CT. She touched the hearts of many and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Besides her husband, Doris is survived by her children, Vivian B. Whitestone and her husband Peter of Fairfax, VA, Paul C. Blain and his wife Jean of Manchester, and James H. Blain of Rotunda West, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Elissa B. Rue and her husband Gary, Eric B. Whitestone, Jarica Golino and her husband Paulo, Brittany Covill and her husband Joseph, and Amanda Conine; her great grandchildren, Isabella and Elizabeth Golino, Charlotte and Clara Covill and Dean Conine; her siblings Robert Aube, Lucille Natalie, and Theresa Jaquith; her sister-in-law Louise Poulin and her husband Richard, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Doris on Saturday November 18th at St. Bartholomew Church, 736 Middle Turnpike East, Manchester, at 11:30 a.m. with a burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rocky Hill.
